In the 5th round of the Romanian MX championship in Merei, Krisztián Tompa (MX1) and Zoltán Ördög (MX2) each took two lead-to-finish victories to win their classes and stay atop the overall standings. Ördög reduced his deficit to MX2 leader Horia Paraschiv to just 10 points. Tompa's 13-year-old teammate David Șenchea also earned his first podium of the year, finishing second in MX125.
