Krisztián Tompa won the MX1 class and Zoltán Ördög finished third at the opening round of the Romanian motocross championship, held at the Oltenia Racing track in Balș, Olt county. The event also counted as the second Balkan Championship race, so Tompa leads the overall standings with two wins. Ördög, who takes his baccalaureate this year, was third in race one and second in race two, finishing third overall, while Tompa triumphed after a fierce duel with George Călăb, though an appeal over an irregular overtaking move could still change the result.
