After the snowed-out second Romanian round, Zoltán Ördög raced the opener of the Hungarian championship at Ajka. He finished 4th in the first heat, then crashed heavily two laps before the end of the second one while running third. He was taken to the hospital in Ajka, where examinations showed only bruises; he received antibiotic treatment and was expected to be back for the next Romanian round at Prun. He finished the Hungarian race 5th overall.
